Happy Birthday with the sincerest wishes from the bottom of my heart, WingedNovelist! I haven't known you for a long time, but I'm certainly glad I got to meet and befriend someone as special as you!

I feel bad I wasn't able to draw something on time for you, but I'll try to see if I can make up a belated thing for you.

Otherwise, please enjoy your special day and may all bouts of good luck approach you on this wonderful day!

It's a Japanese tradition, but it is still celebrated where I live.  The Japanese community is pretty influential over here.  Every March 3rd is technically Hinamatsuri day, mostly for displaying elaborate dolls of figures from the Heian period.  Although girls are sort of celebrated too.  I guess it's just the American name for it is "Girl's Day."

When I was in elementary school, all of the teachers would make the boys put up our chairs at the end of the day.  Girls would do it vice versa on "Boy's Day," which is on May 5th.

I thought Boy's Day and Girl's Day was also pretty popular in other parts of America or even for those really into the Japanese culture, but based on the responses I've gotten, it doesn't seem like it.  My bad, but have a good day anyway!

Wow that's really cool.

I enjoyed hearing about the holiday, so I'm glad you wished me a Happy Girls Day.

Around my area nobody really focuses on holidays besides the big ones (and the ones condoning drinking).

Sorry, sorry.  I was supposed to watch you a while ago for many different reasons, but obviously, my memory isn't always that great.

Anyway, you're a pretty good artist already, but I always look forward to more development from any artist.  I'll try to give you pointers and constructive criticism if that helps.  Although, I really like your playful, unique style.  Overall, you seem like a very enjoyable person/artist to talk to, based on interactions I've seen between you and Lulzy from time to time.  Thus, I can hope that we can eventually be friends too,  someday.

By the way, feel free to let me know (or not) when your birthday is.  Hopefully it hasn't past already, because I would certainly like to try to draw something for you on your special day, if possible.

But really, just continue to produce wonderful art, WingedNovelist.  I hope to be able to enjoy more art from you as a new watcher! :)

You don't need to apologize, always happy to have a new watcher.

I'm always trying to improve, and it's always nice to have another person around to help with that. Thanks for the kind words.

I appreciate the offer, my birthday is actually next month.

And thank you so much for watching, I feel so warmly welcomed to your watch list.

Thank you for the watch.  I really did not expect that. Let's both try our best!

Let me know specifically when your birthday is in March at your convenience.  Now you get to fill the void of a March birthday for me!

By the way, I'm just going to warn you right now that I'm prone to typing long comments and probably will comment on all of your upcoming deviations.  So yeah, I hope you don't submit deviations in stacks too often (in consideration to your OCT stuff).  I always feel as though I overwhelm people with that stuff, at least initially, hence forewarning again.  ^^;

No problem, always happy to add kind and talented people to my watch list.

It's the 20th. Let me know when your birthday is as well.

That's alright, I'm used to mostly short comments so it wont bother me to get long ones. I don't post in stacks very often outside of tournament pages. Don't worry, I wont get overwhelmed.
